Exciting news for all Malaysians seeking to upskill and stay ahead of the curve in today’s dynamic job market!
I recently had the opportunity to attend a momentous event organized by the Ministry of Human Resources (KSM) and the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp). The event saw the signing of a game-changing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 13 leading learning and development partners.
This collaboration brings over 160,000 world-class digital learning courses to the e-LATiH platform, making it easier than ever for individuals like you and me to access high-quality training and development opportunities.
But that’s not all! The event also announced improvements to the Training and Modification Facility (ALAT) levy scheme, allowing employers to increase claims for upskilling their workforce. This means more businesses can invest in their employees’ growth, ultimately benefiting everyone.
Minister of Human Resources, Steven Sim Chee Keong, emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring inclusive access to learning and development. He highlighted the curated selection of courses designed to address critical skill gaps, particularly in areas like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, digital mastery, sustainability, and cybersecurity.
The event concluded with the signing of the MoU, witnessed by prominent figures from both organizations and representatives of the 13 partner companies, including Microsoft, LinkedIn, Skillsoft, and Harvard Business School Publishing.
This initiative is a significant step towards empowering the Malaysian workforce with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the ever-evolving job landscape. I’m excited to see how this collaboration unfolds and the positive impact it has on individuals and businesses across the nation!
