Last weekend, I had the pleasure of conducting one of the most exciting classes I’ve ever done — “AI for Business (in Tamil)” — this time in Johor Bahru. What made this class so meaningful was the group of passionate SME business owners who joined me to explore how Artificial Intelligence can help simplify, save time, and grow their business.
Many of the participants were first-timers to AI tools. They came in curious, some even skeptical, but all left with one common feeling — “I should have learned this earlier.”
We started the session with a simple question: “Do you want to save time, reduce stress, and grow your business without hiring more staff?” The moment I introduced tools like ChatGPT for writing, Canva AI for design, and CapCut for video creation, I could see eyes lighting up. We didn’t just talk theory — we got hands-on.
Each participant had the chance to test 10–15 AI tools, many of which can be used on mobile, in Tamil or English, without any technical background. We explored how to write better social media captions in seconds, create business posters in minutes, draft emails, generate business ideas, and even plan their day with smart AI task managers.
What stood out the most was how quickly the business owners connected AI with their everyday problems — from struggling with marketing, handling customers, to managing their time. One participant, who runs a tailoring business, said, “I used to spend hours thinking of Facebook post ideas. Now ChatGPT does it for me in Tamil — in seconds!”
We kept the session simple, fun, and practical — no complicated tech terms, just real business problems with real solutions. And since the whole class was conducted in Tamil, everyone felt more comfortable asking questions, testing tools, and sharing their struggles.
By the end of the class, everyone walked away with:
✅ A set of AI tools they can start using immediately
✅ A clearer understanding of how AI fits into their business
✅ Confidence to keep learning and growing in this new digital era
This session reminded me why I started Lotusartsskills — to bring practical, powerful tools into the hands of everyday business owners, especially those in local communities who often get left behind in tech.
